Rhonda’s 12 Week Weight Loss Journey: Week 2

Posted December 21, 2015 by

What does it take mentally, physically and spiritually to successfully reach your weight loss and health goals?

Follow along with Rhonda Guzman and she addresses this question in her 12 week journey as she takes control of her weight, health and happiness by investing the time and effort into following a workout and nutrition program at our training facility.

Each week, Rhonda will update us on how her program has been going and what’s going through her mind as she jumps into the journey with both feet.

Continuing on from Rhonda’s Week 1 Diary, here’s part 2…

So, it’s now been two and a half weeks into this newest journey and I’m feeling absolutely fabulous. I feel light and airy and much stronger.

I’ve really pushed myself this week in training. I can’t tell you how awesome it feels to finally feel my core tighten during exercises.

Yes, I have been working out faithfully at least 4 to 5 days a week for the past seven months and I am just now starting to see and feel certain muscles develop, and I’m fine with that. I may not be able to see my abs for quite some time, but I feel them building up and that’s what matters to me right now.

As far as the eating goes, it’s been good. I didn’t lose any weight last week, but didn’t gain either. Even though, I did lose a bit in my waist, I know stress is a factor. I’m doing better this week to stay focused and not let holiday and just general life stress get the best of me.

I am finding more confidence in myself these days because I’m doing something to better my life that has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.

I’ve always known you should come first in your life, but I’ve never pushed myself to do that fully for myself and now I am.

While it’s a bit scary putting your life out there for all to see, it’s also liberating. It’s so nice to know that so many people, friends, strangers, family, coworkers will cheer you on every step of the way.

I’ve never before had so many empathetic people to share my journey and be a part of it with me. I’m going to push myself even harder these next few weeks in training.

There is that first small goal that I’m trying to achieve by New Year’s Eve, which is to be a size 14. I may have overshot for that one as I’m still two sizes away, but only time will tell.

Until next time, get out, get moving, get healthy 🙂
